PROLOGUE
------------------------------------

Not far from the feared Forest of Melody, another one, much more pleasant and colorful, houses a wide variety of peaceful creatures. Among them are the slimes, bulky sticky jelly beings, similar to slugs, and do no harm to anyone (if they are not pestered). Nevertheless, they are extremely competitive beings, which has borne fruit to an annual event that attracts the attention of all local creatures: the great slime race, called the Slime Race.

You, as an illustrious guest of this great show, can participate by betting on one of four competing slimes (Billy, Jimmy, Mel and Bob). No wonder, but on certain occasions, protective deities of that place can give a little help to one of the slimes, leaving in his path a pair of magic wings that will give him super speed. Divine help? Cheating? Does not matter! This is the Slime Race!

INSTRUCTIONS AND CONTROLS
------------------------------------

Slime Race is a slime racing game in which you choose one of four slime runners and cheer for him to win. The player (or CPU) who bet right three times will be the big winner. The game can be played by up to two players. In single-player mode, the CPU will bet on the remaining three slimes. In the two player mode, each player will bet on one of the slimes and the CPU will bet on the remaining two.

The game controls are very simple: use the up and down arrow keys to select the game mode (1 or 2 players) and to choose one of the four slimes. Use the space bar to start the game and to choose one of the slimes at each race. The space bar also continues the game when a race ends, and returns to the title screen when a winner is declared.
